Hazel W. Decker

Hazel W. Decker, age 94, of Canton, Ohio and formerly of the East Sparta area since 1950 went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. She was born on December 2, 1915 at Beallsville, Ohio to the late John and Melissa (Bolon) Book. She was a homemaker all her life and enjoyed gardening, canning and quilting. She was a member of the Northwest Church of Christ at Canton, Ohio. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband Lloyd R. Decker on February 7, 2005, a sister and brother-in-law Nellie and Ira Hendershot, sister-in-law Bernice Book and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Clyde and Eva Decker. Surviving are her children; Marilyn E. (Donald) Hopkins of Canton, Ohio, Phyllis E. (Lester) Gauding of Ravenna, Ohio and Beverly J. (H. Ed) Lones of Magnolia, Ohio, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and two brothers Carl Book of Beallsville, Ohio and Russell (Anna Lee) Book of Massillon, Ohio. Her funeral service is Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at 11:00 am in the Lebold Funeral Home, 248 Park Ave. SW, Bolivar, Ohio 44612 where there will be calling hours on Monday from 4 to 7 and Tuesday from 10:00 am to time of service. Officiating in Keith Kull and burial is in Ft. Laurens Cemetery, Bolivar, Ohio.
