Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna recently named Linda Breedlove the new vice president of patient care services to serve as the organization's chief nursing officer. Breedlove will coordinate the functions of all inpatient nursing units, the emergency department and EMS, surgical services, the Robinson Surgery Center, cardiovascular services, respiratory services, audiology and neurology and Robinson Visiting Nurse and Hospice. Breedlove has more than 30 years of nursing and health care administration experience. She was recently system administrative director for the oncology service line at Summa Health System, where she was instrumental in the planning and construction of the Jean B. and Milton N. Cooper Cancer Center. Over the years, she also led Summa Health System's emergency services, trauma unit, ambulatory care services and cardiology services. She spent her early career as a nursing manager for HMO Health Ohio, a staff development instructor for Barberton Citizen's Hospital and a staff nurse at St. Thomas Hospital. "My whole philosophy is to take care of the people that work with me," Breedlove said. "I want to make sure that our nurses have the tools, skills and resources they need to do their jobs, which is taking care of patients." Breedlove lives in Lodi with her husband, Jim, and their Arabian show horses. She has two grown daughters and two grandsons. Comments
