James R. Thompson, 77, of Nelson Twp., passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. He was born September 29, 1932 in Walnut Fork, W.Va. to the late Henry and Daisy (Thomas) Thompson. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Jim was a truck driver for Roadway for 35 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local #407 and the VFW. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Bessie of Garrettsville; children, Tonya (Jack) Fortesque, Robin (Charles) Thurston, deceased; Slena (Richard) Tartaglia, Brenda (George) Kocuiba, Bob (Judy) Foust, Barbara (Bruce) Walgenbacen, Debbie Peterson, and many grand and great- grandchildren. In addition to his parents and daughter, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
