STREETSBORO — A Chagrin Falls man was critically injured Friday evening in a collision between a car driven by a Ravenna woman and the motorcycle he was riding.
According to the Ravenna Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, Thomas Blazek, 71, was thrown from his 1983 Honda Goldwing after it collided with a car driven by Brittany Pittman, 18, of 4975 Woodview Road, Ravenna, at 7:28 p.m.
According to the accident report, Pittman pulled out from a stop sign at Diagonal Road and made a left hand turn onto S.R. 303 in front of Blazek’s motorcycle.
Blazek was thrown from the motorcycle in the crash. He was transported by helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland where he was reported in critical condition.
The crash is still under investigation and charges are pending, according to the highway patrol.

Why is it that this message board always becomes people attacking each other rather than just making their own observations about the situation? I don't believe that any charges have been filed as of yet. If it turns out that Ms. Pittman was texting or talking on the phone or whatever, that is unfortunate. But since the invention of automobiles, there have been accidents, and since the invention of motorcycles, there have been accidents. Long before there were cell phones, laptops, or any of the other distractions that we have in our cars, there have been accidents. Unless there is a mechanical malfunction, these are caused by human error. Maybe there was a visibility issue, maybe there was some other factor involved. We have all made errors while driving, even if it didn't involve someone being injured or killed. I'm sure Ms. Pittman did not go out of her house that day thinking "I'm going to hit a motorcyclist today." I feel bad for both families in this situation. If it were my father who was killed, I know that I would want an explanation. If it was my daughter driving the car, I would be devastated. Think about that for a minute before you post these ugly comments. "There but for the grace of God go I."

trawl, you are simply an ignorant human being that is full of unfounded suspicions and outrageous claims.
Perhaps you are trying to goad a certain party into responding to you on these boards? Good luck with that. You are too obvious.
Am I a person involved in this accident or am I affiliated with them in any way? Nope.
Let me make my point a bit more clear for you:
There have been no official reports completed regarding these parties. There have been no charges filed against anyone involved in this traffic accident.
You have no facts at this time and are speaking out of turn.
Pompous people like you sicken me.

Ugly Judge,
I'm getting the distinct impression your close to Killer Brittany.
And I'm aware proximity can cloud Judgment.
I'm also aware that it's easier to accept someone living up the street as a killer criminal than someone who may be close to you.
I'm attributing this closeness to the criminal for the insanity of your posts.
If in fact Sweet Brittany did pull broadside to oncoming traffic resulting to a death she is indeed responsible for that death.
The sooner you wrap your head around this the sooner you can begin to heal.

Obviously, you forgot what you said.
>>>>>>
Nope.
>>
You do not need to "Say" anything about the legal system when you take it into your own hands to judge and belittle others you do not know.
>>
Wow, being taken to task for something I didn't write!
Are you in the habit of creating fictions then treating those fictions you created as fact?
>>
Ok, let's play this game:
I bet you are one of those motorcycle jerks who speed, swerve around cars and cut them off, rev the motor in the underpasses and just hope that everyone else sees you as you
"Play" in the road on your bike.
>>
I fail to see where anything I may or may not do or be has any effect on the fact that Poor, Sweet, Innocent little Brittany killed someone through carelessness. Or I HOPE it was carelessness.
What part of me could mitigate Sweet Brittany being a killer?
>>>
YOU think it is my responsibility to make sure YOU are safe? >>>
I think it's your responsibility to operate your vehicle safely and not do something stupid, like, I don't know, pull out in front of oncoming traffic?
I may be expecting too much.

Sherri
I am aware that all other vehicles are out there, two-wheelers and four-wheelers, whether we are on our bikes or in our cars.
I am aware that I am to be in control of my own vehicle at all times.

Apologies accepted. My heart is not at issue when it involves people I do not know on a public message board.

@ JudgementlsUgly post #23
It is not your responsiblity to make sure a motorcyclist rides safely, but is your responsiblity to be aware that they are out there as well as any other motorist.

My apologies, especially if I have offended someone's little tender heart, this is merely an observation. I have no facts to this supporting my statement.
I stand corrected it should have read "in the accidents that I have heard of or have witnessed as of late have for the most part been due to young women." I started to give you the details of 9 from the past year, but again that is just an observation. Maybe it is just the way the chips had been falling at the moment. I don't know.

Obviously, you forgot what you said. Maybe you could copy and paste your own words? If that is the way that you always express yourself you need help.
Thanks for proving my point that you are immature. You a pompous individual who prides himself in being the posterior portion of a horses anatomy.
You do not need to "Say" anything about the legal system when you take it into your own hands to judge and belittle others you do not know.

YOU get on your bike and ride. YOU know the risks are great each time you do. YOU think it is my responsibility to make sure YOU are safe?

I would be interested to see your proof that young girls are "The majority causing these accidents."

I have to agree with you there Ugly.
In my experience being Clueless is a non demographic.
