ROOTSTOWN -- Mary Woolley, president of Research!America, will be the speaker during the Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy's 2010 commencement exercises today at E.J. Thomas Hall in Akron.
Since 1990, Woolley has led Research!America, the nation's largest not-for-profit, membership-supported grassroots public education and advocacy organization committed to making medical and health research a higher national priority. Under her direction, the organization has earned the respect of high-level constituents with its record of innovation in advocacy for research.
She will be awarded an honorary doctoral degree during the commencement ceremony.
