Nice article today on how much the R/C will be covering High School Football. Please do not forget about the other fall sports, these athlete's work just hard as the football players to prepare for there seasons but often get over looked.

Mogadore's volleyball team is having it's best season in a while. There are two senior's who are putting up some very good numbers for the season but they get no coverage from the paper. Thanks

The R-C has always done a great job covering local high school and amateur sports. I may have missed it, but was there a special section that had the schedules, etc. for the local high schools' fall sports?

And to address Veronica's post about seeing coverage for her local team - it's been my experience that newspapers in particular are terribly understaffed. It's not like back in the day where there were beat reporters that covered sports. One suggestion might be to contact the sports department at the R-C and ask if they are aware of the success Mogadore is having. I have seldom run across a sports department that wasn't happy to hear from the readers.

We publish the high school calendar daily in our newspaper. To print them all in one area, at one time, would take too much space, which makes it impossible to do.
We are aware of the Mogadore team's volleyball success, and we are attempting to get to all schools in a short period of time. We should be at a Wildcat event this week if everything falls into place.

Sad the Wildcats didn't get any coverage this season in the R/C and I really do feel bad for the two senior's on this years team. Both have had fantastic seasons and have put so much into there game. One senior was really hoping to get player of the year for county division but feels that will not happen because of no coverage. (yes she is that good)GO WATERLOO

Now that golf is over do you think we could see any stories on the sucess of Mogadores volleyball team. I know there season is almost over and there is still football to cover but this volleyball team worked real hard this season and still nothing from the R/C. I know they have a tough tournament match this Thursday and the odds are against them but they had more players then past seasons earn league honors and 2 players earn 1st team district and one player earn Northeast Ohio District D4 Player of the Year (funny how she cannot get ptc county league player of the year).
