Mildred A. Steffee, age 76, passed away May 4, 2008. She was born in Akron, lived in the Mogadore area over 50 years where she was a member of the Mogadore Christian Church for 46 years. Mildred was the dispatcher for the Suffield-Brimfield Fire Department for 25 years and was known as the Voice of Suffield.Preceded in death by her twin daughters in 1954; son, Jack in 1970; husband, Merle in 1994; daughter, Debbie in 1997; grandson, Larry in 2001; and brother, Gene Christenson. She is survived by her son, Larry (Billie) of Springfield Twp.; son-in-law, Bob Carr of Suffield; granddaughter, Tammy (Jeff) Wenzlawsh of Rootstown; grandsons, Jonny Stormer of Suffield and Rob (Lori) Carr of Suffield; great grandchildren, Nick, Emily, Alexis and Ashley; brother, Norman (Geri) Christenson of Connecticut. Memorial services will be held Friday 6:00 p.m. at the Suffield Fire Station, 1256 Waterloo Road, Mogadore, Ohio 44260 with Pastor Elmer Johnson officiating.
