Thomas R. "Tom" Herman, 55, of Shalersville, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2008 in his home with his family by his side. He was born on December 9, 1952 in Garfield Heights, a son of the late Norman and Eleanore (Panuska) Herrman, Sr. Tom lived in Shalersville for 30 years and was a machinist for SSP Fittings. He enjoyed collecting coins and taking care of his fish. Tom is survived by his children, Nicole Herman, of North Canton, Joshua (Jennifer) Herman, of Ravenna, Chris (Lisa Easley) Herman, of Aurora, and Richard Annis, of Shalersville; 11 grandchildren, Danielle, Allison, Tyler, Christopher, Tristan, Trenton, Destiny, Trace, Rachel, Heather, and Gage; 2 great-grandchildren, Adara and Logan; ex-wife, Elaine Annis, of Shalersville; six sisters; and five brothers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Herman, Jr. and sister Ruth Tonkin. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Shorts Funeral Home, Streetsboro Chapel, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, at 11 AM.
