George Armbrust, 79, passed away on August 27, 2008. He was born in Nagynyarad, Hungary on April 19, 1929 to the late Joseph and Anna Armbrust. He immigrated to the US in 1956 where he met his future wife Elizabeth. They were married in 1958. George was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the German Family Society. He worked as a machinist at McNeil Machine for 22 years. George enjoyed history, working outside in his yard, and playing chess. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Paul. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Elizabeth; sons David (Patricia) and James (Jill); grandchildren Andrea, Catherine, Emily, and Jonathan; brother Joseph (Katharina); nieces Mari and Erzsi; nephew Laszlo; sister-in-law Anna; and dear friends Adam and Ann Braun and Jakob and Sylvia Margert. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Waterloo Rd. Suffield, with interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
