Walter George Konzen

n, Jr. Walter George Konzen Jr., 74, of Garrettsville, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at his residence. He was born January 15, 1935 in Napoleon, Ohio to the late Walter George and Dorothy (Kineth) Konzen Sr. Walter operated the Cheese Nook Deli & Bakery in Garrettsville. He was a member of St. Ambrose Church and the Knights of Columbus. Walter was an avid bowler and Cleveland Indians fan. He enjoyed tending to his flowers and garden, and cherished spending time with his beloved family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Kane) of Garrettsville; children, Diane Konzen of Ravenna, David (Julie) Konzen of Windham, Sheila Silvis of Streetsboro, Kay Bragg of Ravenna; step- children, James Stransky of Cleveland, John Stransky of Kent, John (Claudia) Garrett of Ravenna, Roy (Debbie) Garrett of Garrettsville, and Matthew (Carol) Garrett of Ravenna, Carolyn (Howard) Davis of Ravenna and Tanya (Jerry) Blevins of Edinburg; 18 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren and 10 great- great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandchildren, Michael David Silvis and Charlotte Ann Garrett. Visitation will be on from 10 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Oh. 44231. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 PM St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Garrettsville.
