Karen I. Watson

Karen I. Watson, age 49 of Edinburg, formerly of Youngstown, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009. She was born October 4, 1960, in Youngstown, a daughter of Robert and Margie (Kordes) Diamond. Karen was a Registered Nurse at Cuyahoga Falls General Emergency Department and attended St. Joan of Arc Parish in Streetsboro. She enjoyed weekending on Berlin Lake with her family and friends and was the secretary of the Island Creek Boat Club. Karen enjoyed boating, camping, and sitting around the fire sharing stories and good times with her loved ones. Karen celebrated her 26th Wedding Anniversary last Thursday, November 12, 2009, with her beloved husband Tom Watson. She is also survived by her sons: John J.R. and Ryan Watson; her mother: Margie Diamond of Youngstown; and brothers: Robert (Kathy) Diamond of Avon Lake, and Tom (Marie) Diamond of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Diamond. Friends will be received Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Wood-Kortright- Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. John A. Zuraw on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Edinburg Cemetery. Karen was a five year cancer survivor, and her family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation. Please share your memoires at www.mem.com.
