Linda L. Fertig, 63, of Cuyahoga Falls, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her home. She was born December 16, 1946 in Akron to Francis and Jean C. (Gassler) Matheny. She was retired from Twin Star Lanes where she was Food and Beverage Manager. She loved her granddaughter; and enjoyed having lunch with her friends, bowling on multiple leagues, and playing Bingo. She is survived by son, Charles F. (Jennifer) Fertig III of Cuyahoga Falls; granddaughter, Alexandra J.; all of the extended Fertig family; and sister-in-law, Nola Matheny of Cuyahoga Falls. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Fertig II, her parents; brothers, Ronald Matheny, Richard Matheny, and Donald Matheny. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 6th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent with Pastor Scott Baker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the services. Burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. Memorial contributions may be made to Northwest Avenue Church of Christ, 737 Northwest Avenue, Tallmadge OH 44278. (RC 02-05-2010)

We were sorry to hear of Linda's passing. She has been a customer of ours for many years. I have also known her from the bowling alley. Our sincere sympathy goes out to the family.
