STREETSBORO -- A Cuyahoga County man remains in the Portage County jail today, accused of stabbing two men late Monday during a fight at a city bar and eatery.
Howard Staton, 37, of Brook Park near Cleveland, was arrested following an altercation shortly after 10 p.m. Monday at Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar, 9062 S.R. 14.
Two men were hospitalized with stabbing injuries following the altercation, which broke out during the BCS Championship game featuring Ohio State University and Louisiana State University.
Matthew R. Case, 29, of Aurora, remained hospitalized in fair condition Tuesday at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, according to a hospital spokeswoman. A police report indicated he had suffered two stab wounds to the back.
The second stabbing victim, 26-year-old Karl J. Eder, was taken to Akron City Hospital with multiple stab wounds including to his chest and neck, police said, but no condition could be obtained Tuesday as a hospital official there said they had no record of him being a patient.
Police said Staton also suffered an injury to his hand during the altercation, but he was treated and released from Robinson Memorial Hospital after the incident, police said.

Upon arrival, officers found the two male victims with stab wounds and a third man, Staton, with a minor injury to his hand.
Preliminary investigation shows an argument broke out, possibly concerning the football game, and at some point Staton allegedly pulled out a knife.
Streetsboro Police Chief Richard Taiclet said the incident remains under investigation at this time.
Staton was arraigned Tuesday in Portage County Municipal Court in Ravenna via video from the Portage County jail. Bond was set at 10 percent of $150,000 and a preliminary hearing has been set for 10 a.m. Friday in the same court.
