Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton will make a brief visit to Kent State University today to campaign for her mother.

KSU Students for Clinton is sponsoring the appearance at the Kent Student Center from 6 to 7 p.m. Chelsea will arrive on campus at 5:45 p.m. and address students briefly before heading to Cleveland to see her mother, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, debate Sen. Barack Obama.

"The campaign is making her available to visit college campuses across the state," said Pam Grimm, advisor of the College Democrats at KSU. "We're really excited to bring her on campus and get some attention for Kent State University as well."

Grimm said details of the appearance were still being worked out at press time. There will be signs to direct visitors to the appropriate room in the student center.

Clinton has been working to encourage young voters to support her mother's candidacy. She received her undergraduate degree in history from Stanford University and a graduate degree in international relations from Oxford University.
