The Ravenna Board of Education accepted one administrator's resignation and hired another during a special meeting Thursday.
Superintendent Tim Calfee said the district hired Robin Kline, a veteran teacher and supervisor, as the Ravenna School District's new director of special education.
Kline comes to Ravenna after seven years with the East Shore Special Education Resource Center and teaching experience in Painesville and Mentor, he said.
"She has a wide teaching background," Calfee said.
The board also accepted the resignation of Ravenna High School Assistant Principal Michael Roberto. Calfee said Roberto resigned his position to take the same position at Aurora High School.
Roberto was hired in June 2007 from Aurora, where he taught science. A 1987 graduate of Ravenna High School, his mother Donna teaches fifth grade at Rausch Intermediate School and his late father, Jim, was a longtime Ravenna teacher.
The board also hired three new teachers and filled several supplemental coaching contracts, according to Calfee.
