George Hall

George Hall, 75 years of age of Streetsboro, passed away Friday August 22, 2008 at Geauga Regional University Hospital System in Claridon, Township. Born in Belo, West Virginia on November 1, 1932 the son of the late Ollie and Polly (Hall) Hall. George had been a Streetsboro- Shalersville area resident the past 41 years. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a member of Post No. 1863 V.F.W. in Solon and American Legion Post No. 0343 in Euclid. Mr. Hall was employed at Fisher Body General Motors in Euclid from 1954 until his retirement in 1988, where he served as Union Representative for Local No. 1045, and then as chairman for Local 1045 retirees. George was an avid fan of all sports. Survivors include his sons Bruce Hall of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Greg (Jessica) Hall of Shalersville, Kent (Lisa) Hall of Florida, Rodney (Tammy) Hall of Kent, Ohio; his daughter Brenda (Bill) Andexler of Rootstown; his sister Patsy J. (Charles E.) Deskins of Aurora; 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and his special friend Joan Kilgore of Madison, Ohio. Calling hours will be Monday 1-3 P.M. & 6-8 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where the funeral services will be Tuesday August 26, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Murray Bay officiating. Final resting place for Mr. Hall will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township where full military honors will be observed. Pallbearers Rodney Hall, Greg Hall, Kent Hall, Bruce Hall, J.R. Hall, Eric Hall and Charles Deskins will carry Mr. Hall to his place of rest. Following the cemetery services, friends and family are invited to return to the Mantua K. of C. Hall on St. Rt. 44 north of St. Rt. 82 for a time of fellowship.
