Charles N. Moore 61 of Edinburg died Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at his residence following a couragous 5 year battle with cancer. He was born October 16, 1946 in Clarksburg, WV to the late Albert and Ruby (Hurst) Moore. An Edinburg resident since 1971, he retired from Ravenna Savings after 27 years of various jobs and had served as its vice president. He was a US Army veteran of Vietnam, a member of Charlestown United Methodist Church and the Rootstown Lions Club. Most recently he was active in the Friends of Reed Memorial Library where he was the treasurer. Survivors include his wife of 37 years Barbara (Kolar), son Joseph Moore of Edinburg, sister Cheryl (Mike) Griffith of WV, brothers Albert L. Moore, Ole Michael (Carolyn) Moore and Alan (Patty) Moore all of WV and Gary (Jean) Moore and Terry (Lamai) Moore both of NC. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his twin sister Clara Moore. Calling hours will be from 5 - 8 PM Friday, August 29, 2008 at Shorts Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the funeral home with Reverend Norma Bates officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
