Catalyst hosts grand opening

Catalyst Church will host a grand opening of its church offices at 125 South Water Street in downtown Kent from 10:30 a.m. to noon Sunday.
The church's 10-month building rehabilitation included hundreds of hours invested by local volunteers and $40,000 in remodeling costs raised by private local donors.
The new office space provides day-to-day operations for Catalyst Church, which hosts non-denominational Sunday services at The Kent Stage down the street and free art space in the front community room for local artists to display photography and new works of art each month. The new space also allows the church to further serve the community in unique ways, such as the recent Halloween family event.
