Two men have been sentenced in connection with the Dec. 27 beating and robbery of a Ravenna man.

Four men were charged with numerous felony charges stemming from the incident, in which the man was beaten, robbed and stripped of his clothing. The victim was placed in the trunk of his car and was dropped off in West Farmington in Trumbull County, about 30 miles east of Ravenna.

Kevin McCoy, 23, of 10872 Mantua Center Road, Mantua, was sentenced to eight years in prison by Portage County Common Pleas Judge Laurie Pittman.

Pittman sentenced him to eight years in prison for kidnapping, a first-degree felony; five years in prison for robbery, a third-degree felony, and six months in prison for assault. All three sentences are to run concurrently, meaning he will serve a total of eight years in prison.

Nicholas Trusnik, 19, of 1546 Lancelot Drive, Streetsboro, was sentenced April 20 by Portage County Common Pleas Judge John Enlow. Enlow sentenced Trusnik to four years in prison for kidnapping, one year in prison for robbery, and another six months in Portage County jail for assault, with all sentences running at the same time. He also was sentenced to an additional year in prison for failure to comply, giving him a total of five years behind bars. His driver’s license was suspended for two years, and Enlow stated that he disapproves of Trusnik being placed in a Shock Incarceration or Intensive Prison program.

Eric A. Bacon, 19, of 9520 Jerome Road, Shalersville, and Edwin E. Jones, 37, of 161 E. Cedar St., Apt. 22, Ravenna; both entered guilty pleas in Portage County Common Pleas Court in March. Bacon is scheduled to be sentenced next week by Pittman, and Jones is to be sentenced next week by Enlow.
