l Robert E. "Robbie" Russell, 61, of Kent, passed away Sunday June 28, 2009. He was born August 15, 1947 in Newcomerstown to the late Robert J. and Harriet J. (Veon) Russell. Rob attended Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent and served two years in the Navy on the USS Forrestal. He was retired from Nickles Bakery after 30 years of service. Rob enjoyed collecting old milk bottles, going to antique stores and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Lori. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Labajetta); daughter, Rebecca (Paul) Swauger; granddaughters, Haley and Emily, all of Kent; brothers, Jon (Susan) of Brecksville and David of Kent; sister, Sherri (Jack) Williams of Silver Lake; as well as many sisters and brothers in law; nieces; nephews; and his "favorite" mother in law. Calling hours will be held 5-8 PM Tuesday, June 30th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent where funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 1 with Rev. Wendell Tobias officiating.
