Recently about three dozen Kiwanis clubs from five counties met at Camp Manatoc in Peninsula for the annual cleanup day. On hand to look over the completed work are, from left, Claudette Rogers, secretary; Wayne Enders, president; and Laura Enders, member, with Weston Senz, a future Scout. The Manatoc Reservation was built in 1931 and is run by the Great Trail Council of the Boy Scouts of America. About 2,500 Scouts use the camp during the summer program. Chapel Manatoc is maintained by the Portage County Kiwanis Club and the Order of the Arrow Scouting organization. Enders, a licensed minister, is the summer camp chaplain for the camp.
