The 15th annual Scholarship Dinner and Dance of the African Community Association of Northeast Ohio will be held Saturday at the Kent State University Student Center Ballroom. The event will start with a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by a gala event at 7 p.m.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Joy Oche Ogwu, Nigerian ambassador to the United Nations. She will soon be taking her seat at the U.N. Security Council.
