St. Joseph Parish in Mantua recently premiered its parish cookbook, "Taste & See, St. Joseph's Labor of Love," with a tasting event.
Parishioners and friends were able to sample 40 recipes that are included in the newly published cookbook at the event held in the parish's Hughes Hall.
Nearly 500 recipes are a part of this three-ring binder-style book with contributions from parishioners and their families and friends, along with former pastors, school principals and sisters who served the parish.
Proceeds from the sale of this collection of culinary creations and family favorites will go to the parish's Appalachian Experience in which high school teens and adults volunteer in the St. Joseph Housing Repair Program in Clintwood, Va. For more information about this outreach effort, visit www.stjosephmantua.com/appalachian.html.

A $4 postage and handling fee will be added for any cookbooks that need to be mailed out.
