I'm Voting Republican In 2008

I'm voting Republican because like Democrats, I believe the government will do a better job of spending my money than I would, only the Republicans won't tax me, they'll just run the national debt up another $4 Trillion.

I'm voting Republican because freedom of speech is fine as long as we don't say anything negative about a candidate within 60 days of the election. Also, as long as we don't say anything that the Republicans don't like.

I'm voting Republican because, as in Iraq, I think we should just blow any damned country we feel like back into the stone. To hell with international law, it's just a piece of paper.

I'm voting Republican because I believe that people who can't balance the budget ought to be bailing out banks, businesses and speculators on the backs of our children.

I'm voting Republican because I think a woman should be a baby machine and submissive to a man's whims. Women are there for one purpose, after all.

I'm voting Republican because I believe that business should be able to do anything they want including the pollution of the environment, clear cutting forests, strip mining the tops off of mountains, and doing as THEY see fit.

I'm voting Republican because I believe it's better for three or four religious kooks to rewrite the constitution to meet their religious beliefs since they would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.

I'm voting Republican because I believe that we need to create as many terrorists as we can by supressing freedoms in foreign countries. That way we can instill fear in the American public, which makes it easier to strip their rights away.

I'm voting Republican because I think that it's better to create strawman arguments and twist logic to meet some zelot's interpretation of a book written over 1500 years ago than to actually leave people alone and allow them to be happy.

I'm voting Republican because I believe that government needs to give more tax breaks and financial incentives to businesses (like big oil) because we haven't drained the last drop of oil or ruined that last bit of land yet.

Makes you wonder how anyone with any brains would EVER vote Republican, doesn't it?



Actually, if you were paying attention, you'd be a Libertarian.

Here is another example of bias. I was in a coffee shop and was talking to a Red Cross worker. He told us on the news it was shown that someone (CNN reporter?) grabbed a phone and screamed into it for the Red Cross to be sent, It was actually a Red Cross worker's phone he was using.

He also mentioned a lot of the things that went on down there that the media said never happened. These are the exact things Ms. Wolf warns about in her book. And it's happening just as much on the left. Something she misses because no one wants to say it.

Just like when Bush had to call officials in New Orleans and tell them he'll send help. Because the Democrat that was in charge didn't call him. It's actually their job to call the President in an emergency. But, Bush couldn't wait any longer for that person to do her job. Their hatred is spilling over into their common sense.

Okay, I read The End of America by Naomi Wolf. Average Joe, why did you want me to read that garbage? She forgets to mention in her ten steps to our ruin that all the countries she mentions on, I believe it was, page 30 also had their guns reigstered and taken away. Sounds like the far left to me.

Anyone who blames one side and one side only shows me their agendas.She makes it hard for me to believe much of what she contents.

I know facts about McCarthyism have been altered. He wasn't even in office yet when some of the things he has been blamed for happened. THere has also been a code deciphered in 95 that proved there were communists in high places. Her contention about the media is, oh my, is she blind and deaf? Did you catch the fact that she was on Gore's campaign?

Again I agree with some things she mentions but most of the others I question their authenticity because of her tendency to alter or manipulate the truth. I don't agree with either party and think if you are worried about the president and the constitution that maybe you should look up Ron Paul or my favorite Bob Barr

Her contention that Black water had to come into New Orleans is because of the utter chaos and criminal activity. Were they also called into Iowa after the flooding? Nope. She also never mentions the atrocities done by UN troops. They are exempt from the law.

Her contention about celebrities was laughable. Sean Penn, George Clooney, etc. again give me the name of some far right celebrities that push their beliefs on us.

I also kept seeing Gore in there. When she mentions movies and propaganda that Hilter made and showed again and again to the people. With out debate. Hmmmm sound familiar?

As I urge people to contact their representatives and also urge you to notify the media that you are tired of one-sidedness and bias. Again, I believe both parties are our problem and I know I sound like I am defending the Republicians, but I am not. It's just that when I see inconsistencies I have to apparently tell people because they don't see them. For instance. When Gore ran for President he mentioned the Social Security crisis, THe media loved him, people wept (okay maybe too much), but when Bush mentions the same thing they call him an idiot. When Bush or any Repubican makes a mistake in speech again labeled idiot. Showed again and again. Though just the other day Dan Rather referred to Obama as Osama Bin Laden and no one batted an eye.

My views are rather liberal but, when I opened my mind, my common sense didn"t fall out. Only when we let politiicians and the media know we aren't buying what they are selling and voice it loud enough will we see change of any kind.

What really annoys me is people who again, say it's one side or the other. THe far-right and far-left is the problem. Only when we can acknowledge the good and bad on both sides and stop the baby games each plays now and the media especially will anything get better.

One lies the other (media) swears to it.

What I said about Global Warming and Al Gore is unfolding as we speak. He is on TV tonight telling us how he has a dream of America becoming completely free of oil dependency. He wants us to rely on energies such as wind, solar etc. I didn't hear him mention during his, "I love and worry about America, and this should be our agenda" speech, anything him about owning a company that is going to invest in these companies and if they do he will become one of the richest men on the planet. That's the real goal.

I am all about free enterprise and if Mr Gore can sell this idea, God bless him. However he is using the govt to push forward his agenda. This needs to be investigated. Is this why Clinton wouldn't let us drill in ANWAR? If he would have we would be swimming in oil right now according to their time tables and this never would have happened. All it amounts to is extorting the American people.

Sad thing is, Considerthis is right. Public Apathy. Now people want to complain and panic, after it's to late.

Average Joe. If you look at what they say about global warming they use if, possibly, may. People these are not actual science they are definite maybe's.

Once we just demand to hear another side the
political climate will change. Because they will realize We the People are on to them. They will simply come up with something else.

History shows us that not only does weather cycle, so does political bs. And how anyone can take what these manipulators say at face value is beyond me. How can you believe anything a politician says? You should at the very least ask for both sides of any issue. THis is why I can't stand to watch ABC,NBC, CBS. They don't permit both sides. Or manipulate the information. Mostly because we don't make them.

I have a friend who is more worried about a clean house than the changes a simple call can make. On one hand she tells me she doesn't have time to make a call to her representative. It won't help. I don't want to be bothered. Yet, when she brings up a situation that she had the power to enact change she gets mad at me when I point out she should speak out. This too, is one of the 10 signs from Naomi Wolf's book. Public apathy.

I got the book Naomi Wolf wrote from the library. The End of America. I am trying to keep an open mind and will continue reading. But, I have found many holes into what she is saying is right wing. McCarthy for instance has been blamed for some things he couldn't have done because he wasn't even in office at the time. THe left is no better and are contributing to our demise as well. Again, until we make both sides accountable, neither side has to be.

I haven't finished reading her book. I sure hope she chastizes the left for their continued efforts for gun control. Which history has shown is instrumental to controlling it's people.

I agree with averagejoe. Excellent. Naomi Wolf constantly blames everything on the right. Some of what she accused the right , about, the media for instance, is not from the right but the control is from the left. Look at Chris Mathews he came from Tip O'neil, Russett (whom I did like) from Mondale. Look at the reporters who will accompany Obama to Iraq? Who went with McCain, oh none.

Give me a Republican celebrity that is constantly in the media. OH, I know Alec Baldwin, Noooo you say? Okay, how about Susan Sarandan? Nooo again, I am shocked. Celebrities use these agendas to push their faces in the limelight. This also happened during Eugenics when they sterilized people.

THe Oscars, Emmy, & Grammy awards are more like a Democratic convention. I don't watch anymore.

The Oil for Food scandal happened during Clinton's watch. He vetoed legislation that could have made us independent of foreign oil by now.

I am not a fan of either party right now. The Republicans did screw up in many ways. But what happened to a 2/3 vote? Hmmm. And again every law I have looked into was sponsored and co-sponsored not by one party but by two.

I loved what averagejoe said about global warming. How true. Agendas. How is this not exactly what Ms. Wolf talks about?

Her book is the very propaganda (so far in my reading), that she touts is one of the 10 steps.

Thanks for the info WHY. But I don't buy it. She speaks with to many "if's and possibles" for me. I watched it again and then looked at the sites where she is promoting her products. They are all far left Liberal sites that promote conspiracies. I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm saying I just don't buy into all of these theories personally. I looked up more of the stories she's telling in the video and most are twisted and skewed to fit her story, with a hint of truth, just to make them feasible.
Also if many of the theories she proclaims as truth actually happened, there would be a huge uprising in this country and Bush and Cheney would be in jail already.

I believe what I see actually happening and I feel there is a plan to change our govt but it isnt only by the Conservatives. Here's what I mean and see and these are verifiable facts. It has been going on alot longer than the Bush admin. it started in the late 50's and 60's and then blossomed in the late60's and early 70's when all of a sudden everyone thought communism was a great thing(hippy movement).

1. One of Barack Obama's main backer is George Soros and moveon.org. (Proven liars) Soros said he would spend his last dime to get rid of Bush. He started wanting to change America and pushed a socialist agenda in the 90's when he was in with the Clintons and was a major backer of their 2nd campaign. Soros is a crook and should be in jail on insider trading charges.
As I said before I thought he and some of the Dem leaders were major players in the mortgage crisis. Today in the news they were talking about investigating the financial markets and introducing legislation that would prevent traders(SOros) from short-selling the banks. This really hurt the banks and no one is admitting that because alot of people made alot of cash. One of the only pieces of legislation that got passed by the Dems last year was Hedgfund reform pushed by Soros and his boys and it was pushed through as part of a security/war funding bill. That's how Soros' personal profit went from 660m to 2.9B in less than 6 months as the fund manager. Soros is also a Marxist and believes socialism is the right way to go. In fact he believes the poor should not have a vote, since they contribute nothing.
Also they are going to investigate Charlie Shumer for causing panic and a run on Indymac Bank. Causing more panic as the theorists claim.

2. The Dems are pushing a huge social agenda. Healthcare, Increasing World Support, and recently mentioned socializing our energy program. None of which is a good idea. SOmeone here said that today in the day when Americans pay for the govt. for the year. Imagine another 30% in taxes to cover healthcare.

3. Global Warming is being shoved down the throats of us and our children. Even Gore's former backers (former owner of the weather channel)and many of the scientists that were on his payroll accuse him of causing a panic and that we have time to change. That the things he said would be happening in the time frames, he claims, will not happen. It's all a sales ploy. This is causing a huge upheavel in our world markets. Now when you look into why he may possibly doing this and how he will profit. Gore and a former executive of Goldman-Sachs started a business about 7 years ago that invests in "green" business". It's called Generation Investment Management. They have already secured their start-up money of $5B. They are also tied in with World Resource Institute. This group seems like they have a one world govt agenda. I don't know for sure but looking at their website it sure seems like it. There is going to be an investigation with this company and the oil market speculators. And why the Dems dont want to drill for oil in areas where we know there is oil. Why won't the dems drill for oil off of our coast but will let other counties like CHina, Russia, germany and cuba drill off the coasts of FLA and the west? They are drilling right into our oil rights. Why is the dems answer to open up the strategic reserves, when we are in the middle of 2 wars? THey only care about one thing. Not the American people but furthering their agendas and getting their power as president.

4. What is the best way to control a country and it's people? Increase costs of living. The TV media is on the bus with the Obama Love Affair. They continue to create and fuel crisis after crisis. Look at the news. They are giving him all of the positive press and excusing his major guffaws. They say that both are flip Flopping. Look closer at which issues they are flipping on. Obama is a Chameleon. He changes his views according to the audience. ALso the Dems claim that they are not being allowed to tell thier side of the story, because of people like Rush and Hannity and other conservative talk show hosts. This is why they are pushing the Fairness Doctrine. Did you watch Hannity and Colmes last night. There was a conservative Senator from the far right on. He claims that they wouldnt let him on the show. Finally he threatened the station and they let him on. Hannity quote: "I heard you had to strong arm my staff to get on here." His quote;"they aren't letting any of us on TV to speak." This was on FOX. WHy wouldnt they let them speak. Do you really think that McCain is our best candidate? He is as Liberal as Obama. If we wer looking fro a Rep that wanted to represent the people as president and get us out of this mess, it should have been Paul or ROmney. I'm sorry I can't remember the senators name. So who is silencing who? Could be both.

5. The Dems are making the country look criminal and constantly telling the people how bad it is here. That we need to look at other countries and how they do things. (Summary of many of Baraks statements)Ask yourself, does any other country on earth have the freedoms of this country? NO! Most are overtaxed and over governed. Is this change for hope? They have had the Senate and Congress for 1.5 years and we are in way worse shape now than the 1st 6 years of Bushes term.

6. When you make it a $5k fine to hurt a fertilized eagles egg and make it legal to abort a fertilized human egg or fetus or an almost new born baby, this scares me. Another of the ways govts take over is to reduce the value of human life. Just like Communist China when they were killing female babies in the 60's and 70's.

7. When you can tell when and who I can pray to. and then tell me where I can do it, just because I might offend 1 person. Something is wrong. Our religious freedoms have been squashed. If you ask 99% of the Christians out there if it offends how others worship. They dont care, just allow me to worship as I like. Christains are chastised for their beliefs,but we are building special prayer areas for moslems and passing special laws to accomodate them. Christian values were taken from this country and we see the results. Why? because religion controls the people, not the govt. Just like in the middle east. Who controls their people, govt run religion. If people do not have some sort of hope whether it be in this life or the next there will be no values to live up to, thus no control.

8. When wrong is right and right is wrong, this divides the people. When the cops and victims are treated as the the criminals and the criminals are treated as the victims in the press, something is wrong. WHen the govt can tell me what to teach my children and how to bring them up, there is a problem.

THere are many more examples but I'm sure you will write a huge post telling me how wrong I am so I won't go on. We are in trouble and have been for a long time. But we will pull out of this as before. As you know, being a history buff, this isn't the first time we've had touble in our govt. We must as a people rise up and take control through our constitutional rights. We must vote to remove the old school guys and get some strong leaders in there, not leaders that are being led around by the lobbyists. But leaders that believe in and will fight for America and America's freedoms and values.

However. You do also have to know that our founders didn't have telephones, computers.
and there have been terrorist acts stopped by the taps. Many countries that have had their weapons seized by their government were overpowered by their governement. Police states.

When the media leak information (isn't that treason?) we already are in trouble. THeir hate for Bush (not my favorite person either), overshadows their common sense. When they chastised the taps they allowed our enemies to know what we were doing. I myself at work had a 800 number (billed for two months at a time) on my phone bill. When I called a very foreign woman told me a person in my employee ordered this (they had an actual person's name). This was not an 800 number for my customers to use. Oh, no, no. It routes to a lockbox voice mail system in which I couldn't access without a code. They wouldn't give me the code. This is a way that terrorists can communicate and have a third party (businesses esp.) pay for it because it would probably blend into their bill. But, I check everything. Also the phone company is allowing this. I called the phone company, FCC and even Homeland Security. I also contacted local news channels hoping they would put this on as an alert to businesses and residential phone customers. They did not.

I don't feel we actually have a democracy now. Not in the sense we should. We don't really have freedom of speech, ask John Rocker. If you don't want the truth don't ask the question.
You don't have to agree with him, but isn't he free to voice his opinion? I guess not.

My gosh look at the comment Jessie Jackson made about Obama. My gosh, that was terrible and inexcusible. Whether you like Obama or not. But, again he was free to make it. In the Don Imus case from what I heard he was merely repeating what someone else before him just said. Right or wrong. Wasn't that his free speech?

What do you think our forefathers would think of the free speech pertaining to pornography? Okay, maybe Benny Franklin would be all for it.

I have said this before and mark my words. We are probably training the very terrorists today that will cripple our country by just messing with our communications systems, computers. We will be shut down. Unable to access information (digital TV), phones, computers. We won't be able to get gas, groceries, anything.

We have to keep our government from becoming like the other police states. THis is why I support Bob Barr, he wants to get CONgress working for us again, instead of special interests. As long as special interests control them, we are last on their list. Check him out, while I don't agree with some of his ideas, I do on the important ones.

By allowing the environmentalists, pharmeceuticals, and insurance companies to make our laws by way of CONgress we are fast losing our rights. And our money.

If we have bigger government we become more reliable on them. And they inturn rule over us. It will no longer be We the People.
