Why I'm voting Democrat

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that the best strategy in war is defeat. It broadens the mind to learn Japanese, German and Arabic. Talk about multiculturalism!

I'm voting Democrat because I'm mad that George W. Bush hasn't caught Bin Laden. That's because Bin Laden is the only Islamic terrorist in the world.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that if I don't have enough money, the solution is for the government to take more of my money. Who needs money when gas is $5 per gallon?

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that the ideal family is two homosexual bonobos, a goat and a parrot raising a human baby. Love and compassion is all it takes to make a successful family!

I'm voting Democrat because it's my body, and if I want to kill my baby, I'll do it, even if its head is in the birth canal. If I want to cut out my intestines and feed them to the crocodiles, I'll do that too. That's the freedom our forefathers enshrined in the Constitution.

I'm voting Democrat because our enemies on the battlefield deserve comfy hotel rooms, Pay-Per-View, prostitutes and all the benefits of American citizenship.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe we need other countries' permission for me to turn down my thermostat.

I'm voting Democrat because I care about the real victims of crime -- criminals.

I'm voting Democrat because the real cure for racism includes preferential policies based on race -- particularly in presidential voting. If you believe that a black candidate ought to be qualified, as well as black, you're worse than Bull Conner.

I'm voting Democrat because everyone deserves crappy healthcare. Sure, you'll have to wait years for that life-saving cancer surgery. But it's first come, first served at the cemetery!

I'm voting Democrat because I believe in minority rights (except in Muslim countries), free speech (with regard to pornography but not conservative talk radio), environmentalism (unless we're talking about Al Gore's house) and diplomacy (but never backed by the threat of military force).

I'm voting Democrat because I like the words "hope" and "change." Also "kazoo." That's a funny word.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that America's founders were rich, white, greedy xenophobes, and that America's founding principles are hogwash requiring periodic editing from an unelected group of liberal judges.

Most of all, I'm voting Democrat because I like the ideas they have over in France, but I don't feel like moving there. I'll threaten to move, but I really won't. After all, I have a good job, healthcare, lower taxes, free speech and a social framework that promotes family structure. And all of it is defended by the most effective fighting force on the planet.

If only the institution of far-left values resulted in a great country. Oh, well. That won't stop me from voting Democrat, though. After all, I'm voting Democrat because thought isn't one of my strong suits."

WMD, your lack of facts sometimes astounds me. Lets go down them one by one.

1. All the loss of jobs in Ravenna occurred with an almost entirely democrat local government.

2. If the dems would have let us drill 10 years ago maybe we wouldn't be in this gas price fix now. Price controls will only make the matters worse, look at what happened in the 1970's.

3. Medical care is readily available, cost is determined by the amount of care desired and the technology utilized to provide it. Even if we go with a socialist type government provided system it will still need to be paid for, the only difference is that we will be paying for it with our taxes (at least those of us who pay taxes).

4. Iraq, well I have to partially agree that the problems we have been encountering since the end of major combat can be laid at Bush's feet, but I don't think that the blame can rightly be spread much further than that. In fact McCain was one of the strongest critics of the way Bush managed the war.

I don't know what you mean by a "life saver" but if you are taking about some revival of the "great society" programs of the Johnson era, they utterly failed and created generations of people who made welfare a lifestyle.

I'm voting for noone because I believe that the best strategy in foriegn relations is to make the whole world hate us, to send our "intelligence" services to pry, to interfere, to stage coups, and if all else fails to invade them, and force our will on them.

I'm voting for noone because I'm mad that George W. Bush hasn't caught Bin Laden. Even though his family still does business with his family. And even though in July of 2001 in an AMERICAN HOSP. in Dubai, he was being treated for kidney ailments, and supposedly met with a CIA station chief there.

I'm voting for noone because I believe that if I don't have enough money, the solution is for the government to take more of my money. Who needs money when gas is $5 per gallon? Even though we invaded the second highest oil producing country in the world. And they are paying pennies for their gas, while they charge the U.S. government $3-$4.00/ gallon. Even though 6 years later they SUPPOSEDLY JUST RECENTLY got their oil wells up to full production. And BANKED billions recently. While we borrow billions to fight the war.

I'm voting for noone because I believe we should continue to allow the big pharmacutical companies to drive prices up and advertise during my favorite shows, in the effort to medicate America. With drugs that have side effects that sound worse than the malady they treat. And because I believe that our leaders having the best health care, for life, free of charge is going to benefit me.

I'm voting for noone because I love how they create Buzzwords that sound real nice on paper. How they are all going to change things, lower oil prices, and build a better mousetrap. But somehow, none of it gets done, and we KEEP BELIEVING!

Im voting for noone because I am not fooled by the rhetoric, Im not naive enough to believe that our wants, needs, or desires mean DIDDLY SQUAT. The vote we place does nothing. Big business and the shadow has the majority of you fooled into buying that. But then again, like good little sheep you keep doing things that benefit them, and they keep lying to you, and you can't even connect the dots right. And until gas is too expensive to go do your 9-5, and your kids soccer game, and golf on Sat. And you can't afford a meal more than once a day because of the soaring cost of food, and you can't afford the hospital bill to treat the sprained ankle your child got when you sent them into the dumpster beind McDonalds...
When you have to show ID to drive more than 5 miles from home, and they have checkpoints and military personel stationed at a local road near you...
When we bomb Iran, and get ourselves into a war with the rest of the world that hates our government already because we have meddled, bullied, and invaded whoever we want to get what we want for 100 years or more...

Im voting for noone because even though My life is getting harder every day, and more expensive, the leaders I voted for get more, and more... The Republicans, and the Democrats argue, and bicker. Driving the wedge between us further, and further. Though they BOTH pushed the lies that got us into an illegal, immoral war we can't win... And both still keep us there despite promises by the democrat controlled congress to get us out... Though they both get richer individually while we BORROW 165 billion last week to keep the war going, and thus get poorer...

The best vote is NOONE!!! Wake up people...

This article may have been copied but who cares.

This country needs to vote democratic not for all the reasons above but for the righting up of a turn over ship.

Just look at jobs (in Ravenna), Gas prices, medicial insurance cost and availabitiy, and the war in Iraq (cost). These things have occurred under Republican leadership and republican control of Congress. Of course, the Dems have had control of the congress since 2006 but our fearless leader vetos everything or makes threats to.

The american working man needs some help, a life preserver you might say, not an anchor. That is what you will get with McCain.

Oh by the way, why don't you site where you stole this article from? You did not write it; these are not your words.

You should post the ENTIRE article.

You did not write it, you are pawning off other people's garbage. The original shill who wrote this is named Ben Shapiro.

Yawn...Trite does not even begin to cover this worthless piece of drivel.

I don't think anyone is going to talk about this because there are no 'facts' to debate. Just worthless opinion and straw-man arguements.

Yeah...I want more of the same endless war, inflation, deciet and mismanagment of our blood and treasure that we have enjoyed for the last 8 years.

I am in disbelief that the Record Courier actually let this blog post. Thank you for saying what others might be feeling or thinking. Why not agreeing with the entire post there are many aspects I do agree with. If anything I am sure it will get everyone talking, or at least disagreeing.
