Kent farmers' market hosts the Bluestones

Haymaker Farmers' Market will be hosting a performance of the "The Bluestones", this coming Saturday, August 23rd at 10:30 am at the market site on Franklin Avenue in Kent. This performance is the sixth in the "Music at the Market" series encouraging interaction of the local arts and music communities with the farmers' market.

The Bluestones, play in many of Cleveland's and Akron's music venues, from the flats in Cleveland to the Quaker Hilton in downtown Akron. From the new Ohio Brewery (Niles) to the Catawba Island Club; The Bluestones play many styles of blues, rhythm and blues, and blues rock. Plan to attend and bring along a lawn chair to enjoy the sights and sounds of music in the open-air setting of Kent's farmers' market. All concerts are free of charge and open to the community.

The next event in the "Music at the Market" series will feature performance by the Celtic Clan on August 30th. Local musicians interested in performing at the market this season should contact Fritz Seefeldt at kentmarket@neo.rr.com. Haymaker Farmers' Market runs every Saturday through October 25, 9:00 a.m. " 1:00 pm and is located north and south of the Haymaker overpass along Franklin Avenue in downtown Kent.
