To the despicable cowards who dumped tbe bag of adorable kittens on Lake Rockwell Road the evening of October 5. You probably don't care that they weren't run over by a car and won't starve to death, wet and miserable. You don't care that they were found by someone who has already adopted three cats of their own and can't afford to adopt more. You don't care that the Portage County APL has no more room for abandoned cats, but accepted these anyway after we scraped together a donation from our grocery money so they could be fed for a few days instead of euthanized. You don't care that someone else had to accept the responsibility that was yours. You just don't care.

I agree that this was a horrible thing for someone to do. I live next door to a man who seems to keep a feral cat colony in his backyard, and it just breaks my heart every time one of them wanders over. Most of them are sick, and none of them are fixed. Please, please, please have your animals spayed or neutered. This will definitely curb the overabundance of unwanted pets.

What goes around comes around. Perhaps some day these heartless jerks will be dumped at a nursing home with no one to care about what happens to them. Thanks to you for your caring and willingness to help these precious babies.

People are sick. I know how hard it can be to get read of kittens but atleast keep them until they are big enough to survive or big enough to put a sign in your yard saying "FREE KITTENS" someone will take them at some point. I heard once someone put a dog in a bag and threw it over the fence at the old APL. There is a place you can even go on Yahoo Groups to get read of stuff or animals you don't need or want. Its called http://groups.yahoo....cycle/. Its free!!! Put an ad in the paper or sign in your yard. Stop being so cruel people!!!

People are so unbelievable! How could someone do something so horrible. I can only hope those people are treated with such cruelty as those kittens were. At least there are great people around like you to do the right thing!
