Turn Down the Volume, Please

The Kent Roosevelt football announcers need to turn down the volume. It's bad enough to have to listen to non-stop "commercials" between the play-by-play, but the volume is at times unbearable in the reserved section. The announcer during the game seems to think he is at a WWF event. The guy who introduced and "emceed" during the Stow band show was absolutely ridiculously loud. We had to cover our ears, as did the superintendent's wife, the ex-superintendent, the football coach's wife, and the publisher of the Record Courier, among others. What tore it for me was that the very people who could have done something about it just sat there and covered their ears. We have put up with this for two Fridays; I am about ready to ask for a refund on my season tickets.

My home is about 1 mile from the high school, and this is the first year I've been able to hear the announcer. I think it's neat to hear most of the marching band, but quite unnecessary to hear the announcer, non-stop, even with my windows closed. I can't even imagine how loud it is in the stands.

you better watch out saying anything about Football announcers, or the walk for the cure announcers who echo 3 or 4 miles away at 3 and 4 A.M. in the morning people will be very rude to you if you say anything about the NOISE! God for bid its only 1 night a year/ 1 night a week for a couple of weeks is what they tell you. Sorry that your having this type of problem TOO!

Absolutely correct! The Roosevelt announcer is tolerable but that fellow from Stow was RIDICULOUS! I am certain the fans IN Stow were able to hear his loud mouth. I know he's into his job as announcer for their very large marching band, but COME ON!
