Christopher Vogt, son of Jim and Julie (Horning) Vogt became an Eagle Scout for Troop #411 on August 23, 2009 at Sharon Center Town Hall. He is the grandson of Jim & Marcy Horning of Randolph, and David & Mary Ann Vogt of Michigan. He joined the Boy Scouts in May of 2002 and became a Tenderfoot on June 12 of that same year. During his years as a Boy Scout he earned twelve required badges and twenty elective badges. He attended five summer and three high adventure camps. He held leadership rolls as an Assistant Senior Patrol leader, Patrol leader and Troop guide. His special awards and training included Order of the Arrow-Ordeal, Junior Leader Training, CPR/First Aid, World Conservation, 50 Miler, Polar Bear, Totin' Chip, Arrow of Light and 7 Year Service Award.
Christopher's Eagle Scout project consisted of planning, organizing and leading the construction of five cat house shelters for the Cleveland Animal Protective League. This project filled a need for the APL's trap/neuter/release program, designed to effectively and humanely respond to the cat over population. Congratulations Christopher on your admirable accomplishment.

Great job! We need more stories (and young people) like this one!
