franp567, we are supposed to keep our kids home if we feel the roads are less than safe, and if they have a fever or a stomach ache, or sneeze (due to fears about H1N1), I've even been told to keep my child home due to an allergy issue! And yet, if we keep our kids home for all of this, then we can get in trouble legally because our kids miss too much school.

As a parent, I am finding it very difficult to walk the fine line between keeping them safe, home sick and still having them attend school enough to avoid it becoming an issue that they miss too much school.

What I want to know, is the Superintendent going to deny any blame when one of the kids gets injured due to school being in session on days where the weather is not safe?

The superintendent said to keep the kids home if you don't think it is safe for them to go. Encourage hats, gloves, boots and scarves!
