Rashad Woods has been suspended indefinitely from Kent State's men's basketball team.
KSU officials said only that the 6-foot-5, 215-pound forward violated team rules.
The Golden Flashes had expected Woods to be a significant contributor in his senior year based on an impressive preseason. That never happened.
After finishing last year as the Mid-American Conference's top 3-point shooter, Woods saw his playing time decline steadily during the first 14 games of the 2008-09 season. He averaged just 3.8 points in 9.1 minutes per game as a backup primarily at power forward, and saw his shooting percentage from behind the 3-point arc drop to just 21 percent (8-for-38).
Last year, in his first season in Kent after transferring from Lee Community College in Texas, Woods averaged 5.2 points and 12.5 minutes per game while making 47.8 percent of his 3-pointers (33-for-69).
KSU officials would not say if or when Woods will return to the team.

Give me a break, Bad Guy! You obviously didn't follow KSU sports prior to Kennedy's arrival! With the exception of football every team both men and women have been conference champions since Laing's arrival. The academics of our programs have been outstanding as well. Even football graduation rates have been higher than THEEEE Ohio State University and the school in Akron. Gezzz, you guys have short memories!

What do you expect with the current AD. Did we not recruit a BB player with more baggage than Southwest Airline.

Don't expect anything positive as long a L. Kennedy is the AD.

Where is KSU going with their recruiting, lots of kids with baggage, poor grades or issues of some kind, is it worth their talent to sign them?

Generally, the term suspended indefinitely doesn't really leave the option open for a return. I think KSU really overuses this term. After all, how many times has Singletary been suspended indefinitely?
