Staff report

The Rootstown Rovers girls basketball team will hit the hardcourt on Tuesday for a scrimmage that holds a different meaning.

The Rovers will be looking to improve their skill sets, but more importantly, the team will travel to face CVCA in a charity game with all proceeds going to the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank.

The game will begin at 6 p.m., with admission at $3 per person, although, donations will also be accepted. Instead of a monetary admission, you can also donate four or more canned or boxed food items to gain entrance to the game.

A list of most-needed food items include boxed cereal, peanut butter, canned vegetables, canned tuna, soup and beef stew.

CVCA High School is located at 4687 Wyoga Lake Road in Cuyahoga Falls.
