CLEVELAND — A fan escorted out of a Cleveland Indians game while wearing a Miami Heat jersey of LeBron James says he’s embarrassed and unhappy with the way he was treated.

Twenty-nine-year-old Matt Bellamy of Sandusky says fans pelted him Wednesday night with beer and peanuts and yelled obscenities at him and his girlfriend.

Bellamy eventually was escorted out of the ballpark by officers who told him it was for his own safety.

He says the fan reaction was good-natured until the sixth inning when he was shown on the Progressive Field Jumbotron, and then fans started getting nasty.

Some video footage shows Bellamy and his girlfriend taunting fans.

James has left the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Heat.
