Joseph Namesnik

Born April 20, 1928 in Newton Falls, he was the son of Stephen Namesnik Sr. and Magdalene (Bahat) Namesnik. He was a 1946 graduate of Newton Falls High School.

Mr. Namesnik was owner and operator of Peaceful Acres Nursing Home in North Lima.

He was a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include his sons, David J. of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Joseph G. of Phoenix; daughters, Patricia L. Elston of Mesa, Ariz. and Mary H. Housley of Brisbane, Calif.; four grandchildren; three brothers; and one sister.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Borowski Funeral Home in Newton Falls,where the Knights of Columbus will recite the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Services will be held at 10 a.m Saturday in St. Joseph Church in Newton Falls. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
