Katherine Phelps

She was born May 21, 1915, in Greenville, Pa., the daughter of Claudius and Mary (Gibson) Schade.

Mrs. Phelps was a secretary.

She is survived by sons, Ralph Delroy of Marietta and Phillip Sherman of Orwell; daughters, Lois Jean Fryman of Marietta and Judith Stevens of Windham; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty I. Parker of Cortland. Her husband of 41 years, Dillen D. Phelps, died in 1991. Her brother, Claude, also died previously.

Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home in Garrettsville, where services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Leroy Glover officiating. Burial will be in Drakesburg Cemetery in Freedom.
