Born March 16, 1923 in Shock, W.Va., he was the son of Lewis Leroy and Estella (Rider) Miller. Formerly of Garrettsville, he had lived in Windham for three years.
Mr. Miller was employed at Rockwell Standard in Newton Falls for 27 years. Healso worked at the Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg for 10 years, retiring in 1990.
He was a member and co-founder of the Church of Christ in Windham, where he served as an elder.
He was also a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Iva (King), whom he married Aug. 19, 1941; son, John of North Canton; daughters, Jayne Dutter of Windham, Jean Moore of Wheeling, W.Va., Carol Riley of Warren and Anne Summers of Morgantown, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Vernon of Billings, Mont., Robert Sr. and Earl, both of Shock, W.Va., and Michael of Lockney, Ohio; and sister Gertrude Wilson of Malta, Ohio. His brothers, Ray and Harley, died previously.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home in Garrettsville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Windham Church of Christ. Burial will be in Windham Township Cemetery.
