Born Dec. 23, 1899 in Jackson, Ohio, she was the daughter of Lloyd T. and Bertha (Holcomb) Jones. Formerly of Cleveland, she had lived in Aurora since 1943.
Mrs. Petot was a homemaker and conducted music appreciation classes in Aurora for many years.
She was a longtime member of The Church in Aurora, where she had served as a deaconess, moderator of the church, for many years and also sang in the church choir. She also played the organ and piano.
She was an active volunteer for the American Red Cross in Cleveland during World War II.
Survivors include her son, Charles of Cleveland Heights; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Her husband, Everett, died in 1982.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at The Church in Aurora at a later date. Burial will be in Aurora City Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Green's Funeral Home in Mantua.
