Born Oct. 6, 1927, in Connellsville, Pa., she was the daughter of Charles and Emma (Smith) Groff.
Mrs. Johnson was the founder and former owner of Stoney's Pizza in Windham where she continued to make pizza at the shop after she sold the business.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Penick and Robin Bierer, both of Windham; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles and Robert Groff of Connellsville, Pa.; and sister, Mabel Bergstrom of Watsonville, Pa. Her husband, James W., whom she married June 24, 1950, died Dec. 30, 1995. Her brother, Albert Groff; sisters, Mary Anderson, Gert Riley, Shirley Suffren and Marie Groff, died previously.
Calling hours will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home in Garrettsville where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Matt Darrin officiating. Burial will be in Windham Township Cemetery.
