Alda Gordon

Born June 15, 1929 in Newton Falls, she ws the daughter of Harry E. and Erma E (McClain) Moss. She had lived in Paris Township for 50 years.

Mrs. Gordon was a homemaker and helped with the family business, Gordon and Sons Saw Mill in Paris.

She was a member of Newton Falls Church of God, where she helped with the missions. She also was a member of Paris Ruritans for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur C., whom she married Dec. 21, 1946; son, Dave of Paris; daughter, Carleen L. Jones of Canfield; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Samuel O. Moss of Lordstown and Charles W. "Bill" Moss of Champion; and sisters, Mrs. John (Ada Ruth) Church of Braceville, Mrs. Robert (Vera) Goode of Allegany, N.Y., and Mrs. Robert (Susie) Hamilton of Newton Falls.

Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at James Funeral Home in Newton Falls. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Church of God in Newton Falls. Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery in Paris.
