Mae Dixon

Born April 3, 1921 in Ripley, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ephriam "Tip" and Minnie (Myers) Whisner.

Mrs. Dixon worked as a teletypist at Sears and later was a homemaker.

In addition to Mrs. Herington, survivors include her husband, Henry, to whom she was married for 52 years; sons, William (Carol) of Columbus and Russell (Tonja) of Columbus; daughter, Terry (Jack) Gaitskill of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A brother and two sisters died previously.

Calling hours will be held from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jackman-Kercheval-Meyers Funeral Home, 215 Broadway, Harrison, Ohio. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park with Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
