Mark Williamson

Born Dec. 31, 1954 in Evansville, Ind., he was the son of David A. and Nora L. (Burgdorf) Williamson of Huntsville, Ala.

Mr. Williamson worked for 14 years with the American School Health Association in Kent, editing its publication, The Journal of School Health and serving as a conference coordinator. He had been a "gentlemen farmer" in the Brodbecks area for the past seven months.

He graduated from Kent State University in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in news journalism.

He was a veteran of U.S. Air Force, having served in Guam during the Vietnam era. He earned a U.S. Air Force Commendation medal.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his brothers Charles D. of Ashtabula and Randy (Sharon) of Neenah, Wis; sister Paula (Danny) Jones of Lubbock, Texas; and sister-in-law, Linda of Conneaut.

Services were held today at Geiple Funeral Home in Glen Rock, Pa. Burial will be private.
