Barbara Chalfant

Born Sept. 24, 1936 in Diamond, she was the daughter of Robert and Marie (Lottman) Mordew. She was a life resident of Diamond.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed embroidering and collecting bells and salt and pepper shakers.

Survivors include her husband, Donald L., whom she married in June 1958; son, Robert K. of Diamond; daughter, Nancy Ann of Diamond; two grandchildren; mother, Marie Mordew of Diamond; and brother, Roger Mordew of Edinburg. Her father and infant son, Gary, died previously.

Visitation will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at James Funeral Home in Newton Falls, where services will follow at 8 p.m. Cremation will take place.
