Born in Port Huron, Mich., he lived in Lakehurst, N.J. for 21 years before moving to Cranford, N.J. a year ago.
Mr. Hogan was a salesman for Bethlehem Steel Co. in New York City for 43 years until he retired in 1967.
He was a member of The Iron Steel Institute and the Lakehurst Presbyterian Church in Lakehurst, N.J. He was also a life-member of The Montclair Operetta Club in Montclair, N.J.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, to whom he had been married for 69 years; sons, J. Dennis of Kent, Richard A. of Deep Haven, Minn., and Albert S. Jr. of Cranford, N.J.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
No calling hours will be held. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 5 at The Chapel of The First Presbyterian Church in Cranford, N.J.
