Born in Hungary in 1929, Mr. Horvath had been a resident of the Newbury area since 1990. Formerly, he had lived in Cleveland.
He was the owner and operator of the Tokyo Wine Shop on Buckeye Road until his retirement.
Mr. Horvath was an active sponsor of numerous soccer teams in Cleveland including the St. Stephens Hungarian Club team.
Survivors include a brother, Frank Horvath of Hungary; two nephews and one niece, all of Hungary.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Green's Funeral Home in Mantua. Burial will be in Hungary.
