She was born May 22, 1899 in Kline, W. Va., the daughter of Ambrose and Della (Harman) Kiser. She graduated from Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, W. Va. She came to Kent in 1919.
Mrs. Cheetham worked at the Lamb Electric Company during World War II and later was associated with Kent State University. She was a caseworker for the Ohio Division of Aid to the Aged during the early 1960's and retired from Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna as a medical social worker in 1969.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Kent, the church's United Methodist Women, Olive Chapter No. 53 Order of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Monday Poetry Group that met at the Kent Free Library.
Survivors include her son, Charles M. (Nancy) Miller of Elkhart, Ind.; daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Audrienne) Galizio of Kent; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Her husbands, Joseph G. K. Miller and Ray Cheetham, son, Col. J. G. K. Miller Jr. and eight brothers and sisters all died previously.
Visitation will take place 30 minutes before the 1:30 p.m. Tuesday service at the United Methodist Church of Kent, Wesley Chapel with the Rev. Dr. David Palmer and the Rev. Kay Dunlap officiating. Private burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Kent's Memorial Fund.
