Duane Farnsworth

Born Feb. 13, 1913 in Parkersburg, W.Va., he was the son of Alva S. and Birdie (I.) (McIntire) Farnsworth.

Mr. Farnsworth was a retired design engineer for Darwal Industries of Ravenna, where he had worked for 42 years.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Kent.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in the 101st Allied Airborne as a paratrooper.

Survivors include his son, Thomas L. (Rose) of Hartville; and two grandchildren. His wife, Betty Jane (Siefer), died in 1971. His brother, Gene C., died previously.

Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
