Born Sept. 15, 1919 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Floyd and Margarette (McDonald) Morgan. She had lived in Aurora before moving to Streetsboro in 1967.
Mrs. Cooper worked as a ward secretary for Anna Maria Nursing Home in Aurora until she retired and became a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Streetsboro and enjoyed oil painting.
Survivors include her husband, Barney J. Sr., to whom she had been married for 61 years; sons, Barney J. Jr., of Brady Lake, Walter (Carrie) of Albany, Ga., Herman (Shirley) of Hudson, and Harry (Kathy) of Streetsboro; daughters, Martha Coady of East Norriton, Pa., Mrs. Eugene (Jean) Pfendler of Geneva, Ohio, Mrs. Ron (Sandra) Rose of Streetsboro, Mrs. Bud (Frances) Phillips of Arkansas, and Mrs. Travis (Madonna) Rickard of Shalersville; 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Marjorie Carmello of Streetsboro. Four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a daughter-in-law and step-father Lewis Sherman all died previously.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wood-Kortright Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville with the Rev. Dr. Mel Grubaugh officiating.
