James Sage

Former Ravenna resident, James R. Sage, 72, of Mesa, Ariz., died Friday in Mesa. Born Sept. 18, 1925 in Ravenna, he was the son of Delos and Mildred (Hoig) Sage. Mr. Sage worked as a machinist for National Acme Co. and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Joan L.; sons, Don and Jim; daughters, Linda Powers and Becky Dunn; nine grandchildren; and brother, Richard. Memorial services will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at 9514 E. Jerome Ave. in Mesa. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 2929 S. 48th St., Tempe, Ariz., 85282. Chapel of Prayer in Mesa is handling the arrangements.
