Sammie L. Tomblin, 53

STREETSBORO Sammie L. Tomblin, 53, died Sunday at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.

Born Oct. 26, 1944 in West Virginia, he was the son of Pearl and Winnie Hampton. A former Cleveland resident, he had lived in Streetsboro for 17 years.

Mr. Tomblin was a laborer, working for Ravenna Aluminum at the FSI plant in Rootstown.

He was a member of Streetsboro Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; sons, John Serafin of Cleveland and William Serafin of Mantua; daughter, Sheila Waddle of Charlestown; six grandchildren; one great-grandchildr; and sisters, Mary Hensley and Eulene Green, both of West Virginia, and Linnie Sams of Cleveland. His parents, three brothers and a sister died previously.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Shorts Funeral Home, Streetsboro Chapel, where services will be held at 8 tonight, with the Rev. J.W. Adkins officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
