Vincent Matteson

Born April 8, 1907 in Inkster, N.D., he was the son of Earl and Ethel (Walker) Matteson. He spent his youth in Bozeman, Mont., and formerly wintered in West Palm Beach, Fla. and spent summers in Maggie Valley, N.C.

Mr. Matteson was a self-employed physical therapist in Palm Beach and West Palm Beach. He traveled the west as a drummer with the Isome Jones Orchestra and his own orchestra.

Survivors include his wife, Helen (Wenhart), to whom he was married 45 years; sister-in-law, Paulyne Gille of Ravenna; nephew, Walter Wenhart of Akron; and nieces, Becky (Chuck) Garro of Ravenna, Gwen (Harold) Witsaman of Stockton, Calif. A brother and four sisters died previously.

Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held. Arrangements were made by Shorts Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel.
